Two and a half year ago, CTDP started a little something.

Of course what was 'little' exploded into something else entirely. While finalizing the 2005 mod for rFactor, they began work on the 2006 mod. The models were good and they had the hope of finishing the mod in the same year.

Two years ago, they realized, this wouldn't happen. They were ambitious to make this mod and to create something unique. They learned a lot during the 2005 mod...






and they wanted to apply this new knowledge. They planed new features, new methods of doing things in rFactor.

Only later, they had to face facts, that some of their plans didn't work. The amount of work required for the technical upgrades, for damages, for track-specific car textures. This was an enormous undertaking and some of the things they tried didn't actually work out like they planed. There were several reasons for delays.

Personal, business, some more important side-projects, but despite all distractions, they continued.
And while they slowly got fed up with the 2006 mod, they kept working to get it finished.

Twice F1-2006 received the rFactorCentral-Award for most-anticipated mod. Every day, the team got the same question. When is it ready, when will it be released.

The mod can be downloaded via torrent and via http.
