Hi, this is my first low poly car. my polygon limit is 4500... i will now make 3 texture. exterior, interior and whells...
what do you thing about this project? ;)

looks pretty decent right now, but you might want to:
- up the polys around the wheel wells, especially where they meet the body panels.
- make your foglights more inset in the grill. Right now they are sticking too far out.
- the hood lines are softened right now, and need to either be hardened or some triple edges need to be added/softened to give you nice shading on your hood.

wow I can imagine how nice this would look with a well done normal map applied to it. The base mesh is well enough done to apply a normal map to it.
so... I will make only difuse and opacity map to this car... I will not make normal map... I only use a smoothing groops and for my objective it is sufficiend...
for next... I really dont know, how make normal map from cars... I do it only to characters and I dont have hi poly car to generate this map :angry:

Ah well it's precisely the same as from your character work...simply smooth the car a few times and get it very smooth body lines, tweak and fix here and there and generate that hi-res normal map from the hi-res car and then apply it to your low car here. It will maintain this super duper low poly count and yet look like 500,000 polys. It's great stuff.

just bevel the edges and make it smoothable. with 8.5 u can do the map transfere easyly!
u will be impressed if u just try the the nowmal data transfere. but the map way is much better !
thx man, I know, what is normal maps and why they works.... I used this in my character model, bud in car modeling I never use that yet...
I live on the flat, where near rooms occupand man, who works in illusion softworks... This company made fantasic game MAFIA... He learned me why it work and why I must use this....
I will now make texture, remake wheels and publish to the Turbo Squid....
