Well, i do p2p modelling and im not very pleased with my models. i drop it into a hypernurbs and then it makes the symmetry connections all round and i cannot make mine very accurate to the blueprints.
I also need some help with windows, im not sure how to make em.
i also need help wondering if this style http://www.3dattack.net/forum/register.php?a=act&u=11166&i=11408511

many thanks!

no one would like to help me? (C4D)
So what help do you need?
If possible, try help yourself and find more tutorials. Just don't ask "how do I model a car".
All the best. :)

First, the link you posted doesn't work correctly.
As for the rounded symmetry edges, I'll either add a knife cut very close to the symmetry edge, or I'll add a very short sharp-cornered 90 degree edge with no edge rounding in HN at the symmetry edge.
As for windows, I don't do windows. Just kidding. The cars I model don't use standard windows so I just do 2 booleans, one to remove the window cutout (a without b), the second to create the window (a intersect b).
Good luck and don't worry about the lack of posted help, some here want their ego stroked before they'll offer any help.

ok then, first things first. Lets get the symetry working. I don't use C4D so . . . . I think the problem with your symetry is the weld settings. Looks like the weld operation is grabbing to many verticies. If C4D has symetry with weld operator, reduce the distance of the weld. You only want to weld the very last row of verticies when you use symetry.
There are a few ways to do windows, I suppose the easiest way (not neccessarly the best) is to model the car as one piece and then make cuts where the window is, and then recess the glass a small amount.
As for blueprint accuracy, well that just takes practice. But be aware that nearly all blueprints will not be 100% accurate. Only use the blueprints for general proportions of the car, learn to use your eye and MANY photo references to make your model as accurate as possible.
It sounds like you fairly new to 3d ( cars anyway) so don't be fooled. It takes alot of time and effort to get good at it. Modeling cars is by no means an easy thing to do for anybody.
Beginner tips:
1). Read as many tutorials as you can, even if their not for C4d, learn the techniques of car modeling. (google "car modeling tutorials"). There are some good ones here:
http://www.sektor-41.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=69
2) Study the wire frame renders of others, this is the best and fastest way to improve.
3). Don't expect your first few cars to be masterpieces.
Hope this helps
see ya
