Hi guys. Ive been lurking here for a few months but now my Uni course will involve 3d modelling this semester i'm once again attempting to model a car. Ive started projects before in the last year with varying success (with help from various tutorials and threedy.com forums) but ive never completed a model cos I usually end up crying when it comes to details.

I thought I had chosen a nice simple car this time (compared to previous RX7 and CCR attempts :banghead:) but im having problems keeping the flow of the mesh.

Theres an image attached where im working on the inlet holes at the top of the front bumper. I just cant figure how to cut lines without either extending the fine chamfer line (which creates a noticable edge i dont want) or leaving a dent where i have a >4 sided poly. The red and green lines show what ive tried without success.

Halp? :(

p.s while im at it, i'd like to ask if you have examples of detailed wireframes (showing common flow problems/solutions) id be muchos grateful :) Or even better if you have a model you wouldnt mind sharing I think that would be an ideal way for me to learn how to solve these flow and detailing problems.
