Hi guys been a while since posting on here.
Quick run through of what this is, it is a test to see how photorealistic we can get a car to look in a hdri environment.
We went to the sage in Newcastle and used a hdri cam for our environment, created this and car and dropped it into a scene.
So far things are looking up but have a problem with regards to the windows, the front window appears to be taking a section of the background and blowing it up.
Could I possibly have the settings on my glass setup up wrong for the scene or could it be another issue that its reflecting/refracting correct.

isn't it just reflecting the mirror?

Sorry my little arrow should of been more accurate, the reflection that is in the window is a refraction from the bacground. The reflection of the wing mirror is meant to be there lol :p
here is a closeup

sorry about that, i wasn't sure what you were pointing at. i'm not entirely sure why you have this problem, is your glass panel modeled as a solid (2 sides facing opposite directions that are connected) or not? i'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it but i might run a little test on my computer to see if i can figure it out.

Its very bizzare and has been baffeling me the past two days, using all sorts of diff materials lol, my glass is only one panel thick.
If you wouldnt mind doing that, then I would be very appreciative!
cheers dude!:buttrock:

Hey Rodders,
I seem to of sorta figured out why im getting these magnified reflections.
The image in the background is just a backplate for our scene, the hdri is in the vray environment setting slots for the reflections etc. I took the backplate away and hit render to check the postion of the hdri this is what I got...
http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/5738/urghci2.jpg
that is the actual render, for some reason it is really magnified.. :(
In the material browser the hdri shows up as this
http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/5088/hdrilk8.jpg
Surely it should look like this in the render and not a zoomed in version!?!
This I think is my problem with the magnified refractions/reflections.
If I zoom out using FOV then I get this

As you can see this is correct, but obviously the car will not look right, this is the predicament im having lol, do you know why the hdri maybe being enlarged?
I hope I have explained in enough detail
Cheers
