3d studio max problem

I am using max and i have for the past 2 years, but everytime i now start it up, i load up my car model and an error comes up saying that the appliaction has run out of memory and it exits. what cna i do to stop this, i dont have a crap computer either, i got it in november its one of the best laptops. it has 2gb ram too, please help!

try to merge the model to new scene, sometimes it helps ;)

thanks p2sta for the help, i though when i read that it may work too, but as sson as i done it and zoomed in same thing! Im finding it very annoying now because i cant model my skyline! argh! please any more suggestions?:confused::confused::confused::mad::sc ream::scream::banghead::banghead:

have you tried merging it piece by piece, i know that may be a serious pain but it may help to narrow down what's causing the problem

do you have mesh(turbo)smooth on in viewport? if yes, try to turn it off

or maybe try to reinstall max, but its the last opinion
