View Full Version : Super-Sampling VRay 1.5 help

Hello everyone this is my first post here but I need help with something. I'm a new VRay user so this maybe an easy fix or not.

When using the standard scanline render with Max9, you increase the super-sampling and that gets rid of it.

I'm not sure what exactly it's called in VRay but when viewing textures at extreme angles I get this blurring of the textures effect, so how do I get it to render without it?

you can crank up all sorts of settings in vray. look around cuz i'm not sure which one converts (not literally but wtv) from scanline since i never use it.

You should turn down the blur amount in the bitmap map and turn it to summed area. For some stuff it's even best to set filtering type to none.

Awesome! :D turns out it was a pretty simple solution, although render time seemed to increase slightly but I'll live with that. Thanks for your help instinct-vfx, here's the render now:
