Yo guys!
Bit unusual for this place I think but that's why I'm posting it.
Fictional car, my own design, but you all should be able to tell what I was inspired by :)
16.500 tri's, 1 2048 texture with normalmap, 3 1024 sets with normal specular and reflect sheets.
Now these shots are realtime grabs from the max viewport. I never once used rendering with Vray or anything on the lowpoly car, this is how it looked when I was working on it all the time (wel not really since my GTX280 only gets 15 fps with this quality). I used DirectX shaders which i partly coded myself in HLSL.
more stuff on my site, here (http://laurenscorijn.com/projects/cougar/)
It's pretty much done. I just hate it that there's no anti-aliasing, but that's Autodesk's fault since they decided to disable that in Max 2009. I have to export everything back to 2008 and redo all materials if I want AA to work. I probably will, but I need sleep now.
Btw if Mr. Exidge passes by here, thanks for the inspiration, sir, big fan of your work!
