freelance automotive modelling gig
We are pitching for 3d work for NZ automotive company, to produce multimedia content for their website.
We need: 3d model builders to produce photoreal car model for medium resolution animation renderings. Car is existing model from mainstream manufacturer, so no wacky surprises there. Worst case scenario: building models from schematics and photo refs. Best case scenario: adapting 3d CAD data to useable format. You will be delivering: 3ds MAX source files, complete with lighting, rendering setup, textures - ready to animate & render. Use of VRay is OK, but limit use of other proprietary plugins. Model will be used for: general marketing purposes, spinning car, opening doors, and rendering in various HDRI environments presented on the company website. Very willing to work internationally via internet. Your location or current employment circumstances irrelevant. Quote separately for exteriors and interiors. Interiors will require higher level of detail and accuracy. successful 1st job may lead to many more Client will retain ownership rights. Please contact me (Stephen) direct via email for private discussions of budget & terms etc. |

more details about the job
Sorry to be confusing.
If you want to see my work goto www.prpvfx.com I am a Visual Effects Artist and have been using 3DS since V2 DOS before it was Max. I am starting a new company to take advantage of business opportunity which is outside of my normal work. It is based in New Zealand and will be freelancing model jobs out to international talent. The opportunity involves photoreal rendering mostly for website use but could extend into CG for TV commercials and that sort of thing depending on how the first jobs go. Our expertise involves CG integration and compositing into live action plates, not modelling so much. Production tasks will be handled on site in NZ by us, including all photography and filming, and final delivery to client. Modelling is just one part of the job. The client is local distributor for NZ of international marque. The initial project involves a Flash based interactive car module for the website. Further work is very likely from this client if they like what we do. Subsequent clients and projects will be ongoing. Our company is new so no nice website yet, sorry. We are looking to establish a longterm relationship with suitable artist, and pay a fee per model produced. Deadlines are realistic (ie, not tomorrow). I can't give out more specific details about the client here in public forum. PM me. 1st job is likely to be a current model SUV. sk |
