Yes, I'm growing used to the 20" rims As a previous mechanic I know they would be impractical ... but from an aesthetic viewpoint, they hit the button !

I've had BIG problems with artefacts appearing in my Mental Ray renders when using a multi-layer blend material - which I think I have finally cracked. So, now I can move on to finishing the exterior (wipers, mirrors).

Here is a larger render in a bright Red (NOT 1970s style) :

Outstanding Work! I was never a fan of the Capri, in it's day, but have grown to love the look of those "classic." "European" Fords. Your work just further establishes my appreciation for those mighty little vehicles.

I certainly hope you will continue with tutorials about your strategy and philosophy of modeling shapes and how to achieve such realistic and clean looks in such creations. Very nice work examples throughout this thread. I will deffinately continue to subscribe to anything you do.

Keep up the great Work, cant wait to see your interiors!

Thanks for taking the time to have a good look over the shape, -monster-.

I've had a good close look at that area and tweaked a few vertices. You're right, I think there was one vertice on the roof panel that was a little high. The pic you supplied is of Gareth's RS3100 - I'm in contact with him - he supplied me with many high res pics, and both he and the RS3100 boys are keeping me right. Have a look at the pic below - difficult to get it matching the photo, I don't now what aperture was used .. but it is similar.

Raven : Wheels are an entirely subjective thing, but with the click of a button I can switch between alloys - they're still there Here it is as Ford created :

mmm, stil not "it" Maybe you could model those rims, what are below the 70' Mustangs... like the '67 or '66. Maybe i can get a picture if you want!

Those most definitley are the 100% unequivocal GENUINE wheels that should be there.

What do you mean not "it" ?

    Tell that to Ford

But I like them. And I am far from alone. They are THE classic Ford RS alloy style.

As I said before, wheels are SUBJECTIVE.
