Hey........first time posting here but anyways this is a dodge challenger im workin on.......was gonna leave it with no interior and no engine but then X-Ice encouraged me and then seing all your awsome cars i just had to model a engine and interior for this..........sorry if you notice alot of mesh errors........im not too good .....but this is what i have so far.......
Your missing the hard edge that runs right down the side of the car.
You need more definition around the windows as they look too round.
The wheels need more offset. This is an American car from the 70's, not from Japan.
The edges on the bonnet scoops look too hard.
seems kind of lumpy in certain areas, what problems are having? What do you need help with.
Photo references. I'm going to say its easy but there are a lot box shapes and cord shapes all you have to do is modify the basic shapes you know.

its not too hard just takes up alot of time.............yes this is my car and i do have blueprints to it yes........sometimes u have to be creative with the engine but eventually you do get it.........heres some more on the engine........every1 says theres some probs with it but can people actualy point them out please(dbKenn)

hey Thanks CAClark..il try make a different pair of rims when im done with the car......glad some1 likes it........kinda stuck rite now because of lighting.......any1 know how i can get dark shadows under the wheels to make it look better...and i slightly grainy look.....like garethgeezers renders........im using mental ray and 1 target direct and a skylight but the renders arnt nice........would really appreciate some help......ive experimented quite a bit and got nowhere,
Your modeling technique is pretty good but it doesn't have much resemblance to actual challenger... At least you re doing pretty good with engine.
About shadows... there are many possibilities why it doesn't generate shadow
-Assumed Problem: I assume you used HDRI to get "reflection" effect as well with lighting? If so, your HDRI is probably weak with and hardly cast shadows.
Solution: Nothing you can do... but get a better HDRI.
-Assumed Problem: Your ground plane probably have shadow disenaged
Solution: Select your ground plane, right click on mouse and choose properties, see if "Cast Shadow is checked".
-Assumed Problem: On your light settings probably haven't have shadow enabled especially for Omni which is always disengaged at default.
Solution: If you have more than one light in scene, choose only one light that you wish to generate shadow. Go into light setting and check the shadow if it is unchecked! choose Area or MR shadow. Reminder for you, if you have more than one lights in scene, you want to choose only one light that generate shadow whilst the rest get unchecked on shadow otherwise you'd get werid shadow effect.
Additional: You might as well want to add GI light in scene if you havent. Tone down the multiplier to .1 which wouldn't generate much of light, but it helps preventing floating cars from ground.
Hope all of stuff I've explained is informative for you
EDIT: I forgot to add... make sure your mats have two sides enabled, technically if they show one side, the other side (interior) will become "invisible" allow the light to bleed. That comes standard with MR.
Thanks EquiNOX.....appreciate the help.........im not using a HDRI map.........im using a Target Directional Light at 0.734 and a skylight at 0.6.......gonna try what you suggested now then ill post the render here.........Thanks for the help.......o and DBKenn.......im doing a Challenger not a Charger
doesn't look correct. lumpy. just look are a photo and try to match this area as close as possible. You have great skill you just have to refine your modeling/presentation you know. Your almost in the advance level. Nice engine.

I see the same issues already mentioned, but since it is for personal practice it isn't that critical. My early cars were a mess, but eventually I got the hang of it. However, I am not good at fixing "lumpy" meshes. I usually have to start ovver or rebuild a section. Unfortunately, I never finish personal projects either. I have a Cuda and a cartoon Charger still in the works from 2002. I finish the paying jobs, but I burn out at the end and start taking shortcuts.

Your missing the front cover & water pump which are quite thick, and, the exhaust pipes look like they are coming out of the valve covers.
