    Pirelli PZero Rosso Direzionale

Italians have always identified the color red with passion, and while red Ferraris are probably one of the best known examples when it comes to fulfilling a passion for driving, today there’s another example as Pirelli’s PZero Rosso (Rosso, ro’ so, Italian for red) tires are being introduced. The PZero Rosso tires wear a red "PZero" logo and were developed to provide high performance, high speed and a high degree of comfort. The PZero Rosso tires are the newest members of Pirelli’s PZero Collection, a name now used to identify Pirelli’s family of "zero limits" car and light truck performance tires. The Pirelli’s PZero Collection also includes the current Max Performance category PZero Asimmetrico and Direzionale tires, as well as, the Street/Sport Truck category PZero Scorpion tires.
New tire design techniques, raw materials and manufacturing methods have been combined to produce Pirelli’s most comfortable Max Performance tires. The new PZero Rosso System will include both asymmetric and directional tread designs, each tuned to satisfy the unique performance needs of different types of vehicles and use. The PZero Rosso Asimmetrico is the most widely used because it’s designed for use on both front and rear axle positions of front engined front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive cars, and on all cars driven on the track. The PZero Rosso Direzionale is designed to offer enhanced hydroplaning resistance and is primarily for use on the lighter load carrying front axle positions of mid-engined and rear-engined rear-wheel-drive cars (which are combined with The PZero Rosso Asimmetrico tires on the rear axle positions).
Both of the PZero Rosso tread patterns are new and elegant. The Asimmetrico tread pattern retains the "Zero concept" of earlier PZero tires by combining a semi-slick center rib (which enhances driving precision while accelerating and braking) with robust outer shoulder and intermediate tread blocks which are connected by circumferential "multi-ring" ribs (to enhance dry grip) and independent blocks of the inner intermediate rib and shoulder which are separated by wide grooves (to help eject water). Considerable use has been made of curved grooves, which help complement the circumferential grooves to reduce noise and resist hydroplaning.
The PZero Rosso used a silica enhanced tread compound to provide better grip in low temperatures in the wet and lower rolling resistance in the dry. The tread is supported by PenTec (a material developed by Allied Signal for space exploration) cord which is used to reinforce lightweight steel belts to give more high speed stability while reducing tire weight and flatspotting when parked overnight.
Pirelli PZero Rosso tires are W-, Y- or Z-speed rated and available in 50-, 45-, 40-, 35- and 30-series sizes for 17" through 20" wheel diameters.

    Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07

The ADVAN Neova AD07 is the Max Performance Summer tire member of Yokohama's global family of ADVAN performance tires developed for sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan enthusiasts who love sport driving. Used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on the Lotus Elise, the ADVAN Neova AD07 is designed to provide high levels of traction, responsive handling and driving control in dry and wet road conditions. The ADVAN Neova AD07 is not intended to be driven in cold temperatures or in snow.
Designed to deliver Yokohama's ultimate dry street performance while maintaining good wet traction, the ADVAN Neova AD07 uses a "fine particle" Micro Silica (MS) tread compound (to provide greater road surface adhesion) molded into a directional tread pattern that features massive, rounded tread blocks to increases cornering stability and steering response. Five large circumferential and multiple directionally aligned lateral grooves resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Internally, the two wide steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon cap plies and provide excellent strength and uniform ride quality while the sidewalls are tuned to resist lateral deflection to provide handling control and feedback.
Like the motorsports tires this Max Performance street tire has evolved from, the ADVAN Neova AD07 radial's construction and compounds have been tuned to maximize the tire's traction and performance within a specific range of ambient temperatures. Therefore, unlike less highly tuned tires,Yokohama's care instructions specify that due to its compound characteristics, ADVAN Neova must be used and stored at temperatures above -10 deg Celsius (14 deg Fahrenheit) to maintain its performance and avoid tire damage.

    Yokohama Parada Spec-2

Like Yokohama’s original Parada Ultra High Performance tires, the first thing about Parada Spec-2 that grabs your attention is its wild-looking, asymmetric tread design. And when you combine that with its ultra low profile sizes designed to complement the large diameter wheels used on the most impressive street tuned vehicles, you’ll find that Parada Spec-2 tires exude performance.
The biggest reason for the Parada Spec-2’s enhanced performance is its high grip, silica-reinforced tread compound. This new tread compound is molded into an asymmetric, ultra-low void outer shoulder tread design that uses large tread blocks to provide rubber-to-road contact that reduces tread squirm thus enhancing response and dry road cornering control. Massive diagonal tread blocks reach across the tire’s footprint to further increase cornering stability and dry road traction. A solitary, ultra-wide Circumferential Groove helps water flow through the tire while long, helical grooves evacuate water from under the tire’s footprint to increase driving confidence in wet conditions. Internally, twin steel belts are reinforced by spirally-wound nylon strips to provide long-term durability under high speed conditions while reducing weight and providing a more uniform ride quality.
Parada Spec-2 tires feature black letter styling and are available in 45-, 40-, and 35-series; Z-, W- or Y-speed rated sizes for 16" to 19" wheel diameters. Parada Spec-2…Bigger Sizes…Badder Looks…and Better Performance!
NOTE: As a result of the increase in grip, Parada and Parada Spec-2 tires cannot be mounted on the same axle. If mixed in axle pairs on a vehicle, Parada Spec-2 tires must be used on the rear axle with the original Parada tires used on the front axle.

    Yokohama AVS dB S2

The Yokohama AVS dB S2 was developed to provide ultra high performance for the drivers of sports cars and sporty coupes by providing year round traction, even in light snow. The Yokohama AVS dB S2's most important added feature is a revised tread pattern designed to minimize irregular wear and the resulting increase in noise. The AVS name identifies this tire as a member of their Advanced Vehicle System family and the dB is the abbreviation for decibel (the unit of measurement used to quantify sound pressure). Therefore, the AVS dB name is fitting because this is Yokohama's quietest Ultra High Performance tire.
The directional tread design combines several key design elements that enhance the AVS dB S2's capabilities. A continuous center block provides uninterrupted rubber-to-road contact while "tusk" shaped grooves minimize noise and maximize water drainage. Additionally, all of the tread block sizes and shapes are designed specifically to help neutralize one another's noise patterns.
Internally, the AVS dB S2 uses a casing design with Active Flex Control (AFC) technology which helps absorb bumps without abandoning the lateral stiffness required for responsive handling and cornering control. Twin steel belts are reinforced by spirally wound nylon strips to provide long term integrity under high speed conditions while reducing weight and providing more uniform ride quality.
Yokohama reinvented their All-Season tread compound technology to stretch the AVS dB S2's range of operating temperatures in order to allow them to hold the road in summer's heat while providing light snow traction in winter's cold.
AVS dB S2 tires features black letter styling and are available in 65-, 60-, 55-, 50-, and 45-series V-, and W-speed rated sizes for 15" to 17" wheel diameters. Quiet...Comfortable and Ultra High Performance.
