it looks like in that image they are telling you to make cuts, like the ones in red.. Continue the cuts all the way to the ends. I'm assuming they will do that in every corner.. also keyboard short cut is Alt C

thats easy ...thats for hard corners on pannels of a car or smting ..i think thats a hood ..

a way to do iti is : sellect the edges and press extrude and set the extrusion to 0 and the distance for the edges to match ur pic
or .. use cut .. or chramfle edge ..
