    autodesk alias studio

    hi...i seem to have an issue with alias studio...i first tryed alias studio 13 some time ago,and i had a problem...i got mad and abbandoned it.Now i heard that 2009 appeared to i tried it on my system to see if it works.The same problem: after a while shading dissapears when i click a tool it appears then it dissapears again,and other strange stuff happens.I'm open to all ideeas.I have windows xp sp2 x64 with alias studio tools 2009 x64.Amd athlon dual core 3600+ 5 gigs of ram and an ati x1600 pro with latest drivers.Tnx

    Maybe not your system performance issue... It could be your graphic card issue (AST is graphic hungry) Since you haven't mentioned what graphic card you use, so check here --> AST Specification You need a graphic card with 128Mb memory or Better.

    it isn't nessecary - i use card with 64 mb, veeery old and haven't any troubles. Most probably- you have problems with a graphics driver. Try to use older version of driver

    @Rage_SGK: o...my....god... you HAVE to be kidding me! are 64mb sold anymore... but im surprised by the work you managed to do with ur gfx card

    @hulpesergiu: not exactly sure if i had the same problem, but it might have to do with the settings in ast...i remember when i upped the undo limit, or when i tried antialiasing, it would seem as though my screen got screwed up...everything was scrambled:dead: but ofcourse, my gfx card isn't allowed anitaliasing (only workstation cards have that ability :banghead hope it helps!

    My pc hasn't change since 2005 except lcd screen 2 times. My previous pc were bought in 1998. And i haven't any troubles

    I had a strange thing happen with my view port. But i DL 2009 SP1, and it worked fine. I am using vista 32 bit. and just a cheapo 128 mb N-vid graphics. card.
