lo guys, i'm a first year digital arts and entertainment student in Belgium and i'm modeling for my finals an old VW Beetle and converting it to a buggy
thx mate, got an update here
i removed the roof, gonne put a simple plate there, think it will look better. maybe i'll also add an other bar in the back side on the rollecage
thx for the comments, an update here, i added some detail on the door and i started on the engine, but i won't model it entirely cause i'm running out of time, i think i got 2 weeks left to finish this, still need to start on the materials, and also need to do some stuff for my other finals to, but i will finish the entire engine later in the vacation. i also added the roof on it again and deleted some polys in the roof to look how it would be with a hole, cause without the roof the car was loosing the beetle look to much i also added some front seats
Oh can't believe I haven't seen this one before, I do not know much about the car it self but modeling wise everything looks clean I would only suggest darker clay materials next time.
thx for the comments, got an update here, modeling part is almost over, i added the steering wheel, the mirrors, headlights, finished the rear suspension and added the drive train, made the hand grip on the hood and attached some bars to the roof cage so it doesn't floats anymore, i also made a quick render in an environment, but got a little problem, i added a projector map to make it look like he's standing under need some trees but now there are some dark spots in the shadows, like just under need the hood and near the tire on the left, does anyone got an idea what could be causing this?
