    2010 Mustang GT500

During my off time I have started this model of a 2010 GT500 Muustang. This is a screen or two of the raw beginnings, but I will continue to post updates as I continue. Hopefully this will make a nice demo reel piece.

    welcome to cg cars

looks like the photo youīre using as a front blueprint atm has a lot of distortion and perspective, so be careful and donīt stick too close to that.
the side view on the other hand looks pretty decent and should be a good guide. i know there arenīt good blueprints for any mustang out there and that makes those maybe a bit more challenging than other cars and therefor I wish you luck with your project and keep us posted.

    Cheers

Thanks for the encouragement...TwoOneOne yeah the photo does have a lot of distortion. I am going to match up a better front perspective here soon, but I am avoiding working off it directly. Like you mentioned, I am referencing the side and the top view for the most part. I reference photos outside of Maya mostly to get that front area looking as close as possible. Here is a small update, I won't post another until I have made some substantial progress on it so as not to flood the forums.

Yeah, if I were you I would find a better front pic
    reference.
Something like that will definetely throw off in
    the long run.
    good luck

    skylerd1987,

Hey buddy, um well I scoured all over Ford's official Flickr page (yes they have one) and the Ford website for the 2010 GT500, Google Images and Stangnet...also found some cool stuff from the actual concept designer for Ford on this vehicle, Rob something I think. You can find quite a bit of released imagery now just by Googling 2010 GT500 or searching for that on Flickr will return all kinds of auto shows with photos of it. There are 0% blueprints out there for it I could find and I dug deep. I was thinking maybe to check the guys who do vehicle wraps and vinyls...those shops or businesses usually possess decent blueprints to do decal placement on all kinds of models of cars.

I thought I'd help ya out so I uploaded all the reference images I compiled for the 2010 GT500 to my Photobucket album, I am all about helping others out with reference. Here is the link to that album:

BTW hey this is a chance to show another viewport grab of progress during lunch today. I get like 30 minutes at a time to work on this car so....

very good usage of polies, man! If you need reference I think John Zi, modeled this car, or the 2010 mustang. Either way check out that topic, for refs. Looking forward to updates, man!
