    How to do a Clay Render with Wires

    Hello !

    I've been wondring how to do a Clay Render with wire , and when i was playing with material , i found a way to do it, and i want to share it with you .

    This tutorial will show how to render you current models with a clay material, and how to add wireframe.


    1st :

    open your 3ds max , import your model or the object you want to render it.

    go to : Rendering => Render... or " press F10 " => common => Assign Renderer and do this :

    2nd step :

    Press the key " M " in your keyboard to get " Material Editor " open

    and follow the picture :

    it's about choosing a Clay material, so feel free to use any you want .

    3rd Step :

    the picture can resume it .

    choose " keep old material as sub-material " and press " OK "

    4th Step :

    Go to " Mat 1 " and choose " Standard " . make the diffuse in black color since it will be your Wrie color ( ps : you can choose any color you want to use for wire but better choose black because it will looks clear with the Sub-material we choosed before ) .

    5th step and final one :

    assign the materiel made to the object or the model you want to render .

    Press " F9 "

    and you should get somthing simillar to this or better .
