Built the headlights and the grill. Got a lot of Problems with max 2010, it stops working every 15 minutes, gets extremely slow and the only way to get it working again is closing max. So i have to work a lot with the autoback files. i don't know, if its the combination with the win 7 (x64) beta or a problem with my graphic card... anyway, here are the pictures:
Outstanding modeling! Love the clenliness of your mesh and accuracy to the real car.
Question: I see a lot of you guys model section by section. When I try this, I find it very difficult to match up the various panels. I first block out the intire - lets say side of the car and then cut in the shut lines. Doing it this way, naturally match up the panels (for me).
@giom, the question might be a tad offtopic but if this digression stays brief i won't do much about it. it's clear that sebograf can do things this way. if your way works for you then stick with it. the best method is whatever you can get results with. fundamentally, they aren't all that different. it's more of a mental block.
@giom: i don't model the car part by part. i start with the whole car in one big part, then cut, chamfer, etc the single parts. but i'm only rendering the parts that are finished because the rest has only the rough shape and the wire isn't very good
@p2sta: better later than never
More Updates: The rear fender is a hard piece, i'm not really satisfied with the actual wire...take a look
