haha thanks guys, wanted to break out of the nrom of studio's/ The Z4 ad had an influence, and some nike airmax ad, dunno had paint splattered over the shoe and backdrop. I think the noise might be my shader, I'll try to adjust that a little. The tyre track looks scratched? the painted one, or the actual tyre? not sure what you mean, could you clarify?
I'll try to come up with another little render in the next few days, ive got an idea, just need to find some suitable things for it I think the classic sort of studio setup is almost as good as its gonna get, just need to whiten the backdrop light? I will try sticking a car model in there too.
thanks guys, yes the Z4 ad was the inspiration behind it =p
okay well nothing amazingly new-ish. Was trying out rendering this scene, and it took 32mins to render this out, the render settings are lower than any previous renders in this thread, and im still getting a much longer render time. The scene is only 20k polies, tryed getting a car in there, and well unless I vamp the settings up I get noisey highlights. So any ideas how to reduce render time? and don't say buy more RAM, uni has been draining my money =(
Also uploaded some other wacky idea, original image was a walkway in tokyo with that sort of style, nothing as glossy. That is also a killer in rendertime...

In my personal opinion.... I don't think adding ram would do much or increase render speed. Maybe a little. But not noticeably difference... Ram usage is only good for viewpoint performance especially with animations if you re working on it.
You might consider want to get better graphic card... But, Since you re draining monies, you still have alternatives. You could go for several render passes, IMO, its lot better than single render with everything in it once. It has better control when you do post production. Or other, that I can't think of as of now....How's that:?
thanks guys, I will take on the 2nd scene style whenever I get the chance to, uni finishes in two weeks - also studying for exams.
EquiNOX - I see, I will have to try out this multi-pass rendering, thanks for the tip!
Since here in Scotland the weather is getting damn cold, thought Id make a render to compliment the weather, hasn't snowed yet but sure looks its going to. Just for fun render, boredom took over.
