thanks guys, no its not my model, I did try and model a mid-poly one once, it was alright, flowed pretty well, but im sure it would have been a different story if I had to do a high poly one.
Here's a slightly revised render, a little less blue, and I think it's better, not sure though...
...and what I'm up to. =D (needs better quality and probs should move the 458 away from that strong light) No prizes for guessing what's under the sheets.
Yup, get that 458 away from sunlight casting on ground. . IMO, I think sunlight in scene is too overexposed causing so many artifacts, blotches and etc. I m not going to be nitpick I guess you re just doing render tests??
The car under-sheet starting left would be Gallardo, Nissan 350 or 370... I couldn't tell the rest of two car since the pole obstructs it
Spitty- from the internet, not gonna share it on here.
EquiNOX - yeah they are render tests, never done this before so its a nice learning experience. Just trying to get the actual warehouse a little brighter, yeah I will tone that down. No Gallardo's or 370z's there =p I'll make it easier, heres a screen xD
This is pretty fun, learned a lot of neat tricks for rendering :D Added the crane, a second story (not feeling it too much though), some more blankets, and er Volume Light, or using the parti-shader with MR Sun and Sky - this render took 40mins! (takes 4-5mins with higher sampling and increased FG) :banghead: its not the effect I wanted from it, which would have taken longer, just something to keep this thread a little alive. Just bogged with uni work, so yeah - one question, you think that the openings for the cars to enter should be white, with the whole movie feel or I should make some things visible through there?
Oh and the cars used to form the cloths were game models in case anyone thinkgs I've uncovered a gold mine of free models
Just some tests, 2min render time - been reading how to use mr properly One thing that annoys me is why doesn't the CIE or Perez sky systems work for Mr sun and sky - I added the result from it, sky is far more realistic, but it gives these weird artefacts.
I don't know about MR Maybe you could try fiddle with MR photographic exposure control that can be found environment and effects (Key 8)?? Since I use VRay, I could image I would get same result. Only solution for me is to fiddle around with VRay Camera exposure control.
Wow, that's a nice 458 I experience the same thing with m.r. Must be somewhere in the FG setting.Haven't tried playing with it, it might increase the rendering time.
thanks guys, they're straight out of max no post work. I still can't figure out this CIE/Perez problem
@ Equinox - I'm using MR photographic ex already, but it makes no difference, I tried turning it off and still the same results.
@Dave, Erik - Cheers
@Beacon - Nah, its not fg related, gi related, exposure control related.
All I can see is it affects the ground plane the most, all other geometry seems to have less of these multicoloured artefacts. I added a better render to see what's going on.
Edit2 / Seems like saving as jpg dulls the image a bit =S
the last attachment image is too burnt... Have to try to increase or decrease Highlight(Burn)? Can you attach your "Pre-post" image so I can compare if it came from MR or PS. To me look like the image already burnt after render, and it became too burnt after post production.
