12GB and Windows VISTA 64bits

Hi brother,
I'm with a mem problem....
I've put 12GB in my new PC and the memtest and windows only see 8GB...
but in the everest and cpu-z show the 6 memorys slots(2GB) there ... What is happening?

Motherboard: ECS Elitegroup X58B-A2 (V1.0)
Intel Core i7 920 BOX
Markvision DDR3 1333 (12GB)
Windows Vista Small Business 64bits

hmm...do you have "memory remap" in your bios? if yes activate it.

windows vista SMALL BUISINESS?
as far as i know there is no such version (to be shure i checked microsoft site in case i missed something)

vista home basic has limit in 8 gb of ram
vista buisiness - 128 gb

so chek memory remap in bios settings, as 'element' said

Yeah it's Vista Business 64bits...

"memory remap" in your bios?:...There's no such option in this mother board...it's done automatically...

I think that's the quality of the memory...they were very cheap...

If its not a bios, its probably physical... check with your manual... Some mobo require chaning jumper setting or download firmware... check with your on board manufacturer.

We'll I think the problem is with the memories...when we changed the latencies they've worked...

Thanks for the help... by the way the latency that worked for this mobo is: 10-10-10-30-80...
