    Lamborghini Concept

    Hi guys,

So it's time to show a bit of what i'm working on lately. Currently 3 projects so i'm getting quite busy hehe. Anyways, i get some major help on the porsche problem from Luis, thanks mate, so i can go further with that in the future. The third project will be shown when it's ready for that.

So about this project, normally i really dislike concept cars, because it's all fiction. Tho over time i started to think of that i actually should make one, to look what my fav car would look like. Well it's hard to put all kind of details you like in 1 car, so i decided to go for a car to follow up the gallardo, as i'm a real lambo fan. So i started to actually build one.

This is 2 days of work on the model itself, to get a basci shape. So please don't go like: man that area is bumpy. ALL surfaces are still wip and probably will be most rebuild anyway. I'm very well aware of all the bumps. I just like to know what you think of the basic idea so far. Please don't mind the rear, it will be rebuild anyway, i really dislike the way my idea turned out. So i need to think of something new.

So i'd love to know what you think of it, go wild

    Erik

Jealous, cuz i also want to do my concept

Base is as allways perfect for me. the shape of the car has clearly the one from the gallardo but this could be just like a new one what i dont like is, that the car looks like it became pressed from all side.. you could do it a little bit wider and lower - just my opinion

keep working and pls continue also on the porsche

    Hey Erik,

I think it looks awesome! Good job so far

Something I'd like to point out though, is the fact that lambos aren't so round shaped like this one. I'm particularly pointing towards the rear parts where the engine should be located. It reminds me of a Mustang GT500, mixed with a Veyron. Perhaps you should do more hard edges at some places to make it look more like the Reventon or Sesto Elemento. Not saying it should be influenced directly to a Reventon or such, but there should be more hard edges at the rear. In my opinion that is.

I'm waiting to see more, love it

Great modelling but i am anxious to see how will look on the final stage. It looks pretty good but it is too ,,short,, like gallardo and sixth element concept. It would look better if the dimenssions are like Reventon or Murcielago(more powerfuly).Keep working

It looks good but imo those wheel arches are too large, makes proportions like it has a tiny wheelbase. Like the styling though

This is great! Surely looks like a lambo so far, a mix of the gallardo and the reventon.. The rear window part could be more agressive.. Love the headlights agressive shape tough Gogo man, wanna see this!

Well, not to be nasty, but I never got what the reason would be for someone to model cars that exist already. Yes, sure the advertising world nowadays really make use of it, but I always wondered where the fun is in that? I always figure - why repeat something that's been done already. I like reinterpreting things rather than regurgitating things.

So far, you are interpreting the Lambo-language very nicely. And yes, this way, you can have the Lambo the way you would like it It also helps one understand better just how much work goes into an OEM's range of models (and their design language) when you try to do your own concept following their language... something might look good on 2D, but don't display well in 3D at all.

Interesting thing for me - in your first renders, do you just use smoothing groups to differentiate the meshflow and later add the chamfers when you're happy with it?
