    Super Sport Concept Car

I started this concept car about a week ago. I'm making some pretty good progress but I wanted to get some critique before proceeding any further.

Please leave any suggestions on how to improve this piece.

Well the first thing that came into my mind is that you should use perspective view. This doesn't give a good view on your car, it actually make it looks kinda weird and out of proportion. So could you please show us some perspective views?

I'll shoot off some new screen shots later tonight. I'm not sure why I took the screenshots in the orthographic view.

Here are some new renders without the orthographic distortion. Some of the details I would like to work on next are: front bumper, headlights, spoiler, exhaust, mirrors and under carriage. If you have any ideas feel free to share your thoughts.

Interesting shape. Looks like it is based on a Porsche Cayman.

Side windows look like an after though. They are a bit flat.

You got any wire frame shots? Also please use the attachment system.

You're right, the widows are flat. I put them in there just for a quick render. That's really funny though that shape of the car is very similar to the Porsche Cayman.I must of had that design in the back of my head. I'll work on getting some wire frame views later this evening.

Here are some wire frame renders. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve the topology of my mesh.

My biggest concern is designing the components of the car: front bumper, spoiler, mirrors and so fourth. So if you have any suggestion I would greatly appreciate it.

    Cheers!

That is an interesting shape One question tho, are the wheelarches so high, or is the roof so low?

They do seem a bit high. Although when initially was designing the car I wanted to push the boundaries a bit to make it more interesting. I was thinking that once I added the spoiler it would bring the shape of the car together. I'll make some changes over the next few days and post some new renders. In the meantime does anyone have any ideas for the headlights or brake lights?

    Here are some new updates.
    Changes:
    • Added: spoiler, headlight, taillights, mirrors and exhaust.
    • Lowered the belt line of the car
    Concerns:
    • I'm not very satisfied with the spoiler there is something off about it I just can't put my finger on it.
    • There are a few areas on the model where I'm getting some pinching. I've tried my best to route the geometry to relax the areas but it still looks bad. The areas I'm talking about appear on the front bumper next to the signal and on the back bumper.
    • The exhaust looks unproportional to the model.

Feel free to leave me any comments or concerns about my model.

    Cheers!

Hi there! good to see more concepts on forum. In my personal taste I don't like very much these roof and hood scopes you have. Other than that I would think about some more irregular headlights. It would be better if you post some unsmoothed wires so people may help you easier with bump/pinch problems. Ok, keep going!

Thanks for the advice. I had that same thoughts about the headlights. I was thinking I might go with some headlights more like the Audi R8. You had mention you didn't like the roof. What would you suggest on how to improve it?

I would just remove scoop and add some glass. Imho, this roof scoop have sense on some overdone cars ... like special track version of regular car. It is just my opinion
