    1968 Ford Torino

    Hey guys,

First project on 3DS 10. I am restoring this car currently, and would like to get a 3D rendering of it so I can play around with different paint and wheel options and appearance modifications. Chances are I'll get this 3D model done before I complete my restoration

I've watched a couple tutorials which has equipped me with the basics in poly modeling. This software has so much more to it than I know how to use. I would appreciate any constructive criticism and tips along the way!

    Thanks

    Starting...

This is the only views I could find online. There was no top view, so I grabbed a model kit of the Torino and took some long distance photos w/zoom to try to get rid of the perspective. I realized that the 3 drawing views i downloaded were horribly out of perspective, so I tweaked them in photoshop to fill the profile of the photo's. Here is what the original 3 view looked like:

I set up the planes in 3DS and applied the photo's to the planes and aligned everything as best as I could. It wasn't perfect, but I decided it would have to do. Here is where I am at so far.

I added curvature to the side of the car and added some polys. Starting to tweak and add polys now to get all of the features on the body of the car.
