    Bugatti Veyron

This is a work in progress, I have a lot of stage renders to upload but for now here is the render just completed. By no means finished I still have to model the interior and othe bits and pieces. Then I will pay full atention to shaders and lighting.

Your comments and suggestiosn are most welcome.

This is the start of the project. Guide curves and a combination of Nurbs patches converted to polys for some surfaces and just plain old poly modeling on others snapping to guide curves.

    Hey Gary,

    It's Dave.

I think you might want to track down Erik_S for some of the accuracies. He has a nice thread somewhere (although he never finished it). Also if Mr Hawk-eyes aka Duron is about, he is a good help.

    Hi Dave, how are you?

Yeah I've seen Erik's thread. Incredible modeling.

I'm going to upload the stages of this project from the begining to show each step.

    Cheers

    Gary

First stages. As well as the blue prints I created a large library of reference.

Hey Gary, I just think there is some minor changed to be made such as tightening up some of the chamfers. You have a nice mesh flow and balance.

    Hey man,

It's looking pretty good so far but some tips of you go further:

-Your chamfers look pretty soft, try like dave said, to make them harder, it will increase the quality a lot.
-Your wire looks pretty unbalanced. Try to place polies so evenly spaced as possible. This will increase the curvature of yoru surfaces a lot.
-Try to not make surfaces to dence. Now your door looks pretty good, but can be achieved with less polies. There it makes it easier to adjust or to work with.

Well keep it up, let's see if you finish this one, like i didn't

BTW dave: i'm still thinking on going back to mine, don't know if i do, but there is a chance

    Thanks for your comments Erik.

I agree with you about the bevels, they need tightening in certain areas.

I had the setting set to 1 division instead of 2. You can see the result here.:

I have to say your modeling on your version is an inspiration, great detailing.

    I'll post the next stage.

    Thanks again

    Gary
