I tried posting this on sm cars, but the post was immediately deleted, then they banned my account They also deleted the post after mine, and there are many other statements in that thread pointing to the glaring similarities between the new sm cars and cg cars. One guy even stated "I though I was at cg cars for a second."

You create a site with a ripped frontpage template which "accidentally" looks like cg cars' structure - in effect, you've stolen the look and feel (trade dress) of cg cars. You've stolen a little piece of everything, the structure, some gfx stuff, you've stolen features ( software Icons, and I'm sure the Gallery will be a RIP as well). And all without a spark of shame
Before that sm cars was sm cars and cg cars was cg cars. Both sites had there own style. You've created a blatant ripoff! You should be proud. I´m excited what cg cars will do in future with these facts. And I think the sm cars staff shouldn't close their eyes on this. This should have consequences...
The interesting part is, you know much about the history like S-41.. I'm also into 3D since 2006 but a "J.Becker" I've never heard.. I miss some guts!

Are you jealous about the action on SMC maybe? Well You and i know, that CGC are one of the greatest sites since his foundation, but all members know how the CGC Team handled the last few years with this great site! Thats just sad! And now if competitors are going to create another community, there comes guys like you and starting threads like this........
So what is your goal?
It's a pity that cg-cars has to take actions like this which have nothing to do with truth. It's obvious that the person who is flaming all this trying to hide his identity, probably cg-cars itself.
Hi I think cgcociety copied from cg-cars,too. http://www.cgsociety.org Look they have same leyout , the slideshow ,the footer but the banner is on the other side! I also found out that http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/28635.html this has similar colors. And http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/28317.html has stolen the background from cg-cars. You guys should really clean up.

If the admins of the CG-Cars have something that concerns issues between SMC and CG please let me know. Cmon guys, i agree with Johnas and Duron. Tho the new site of smcars looks coloringwise the same as cg-cars, i still think this is the best color set for a site, so why not use it. Furthermore it are 2 completely different sites with different persons all doing the same hobby. So where is the problem?

Some people really seem to live for drama. Yeah, I know "welcome to the internet", but seriously, like Erik says, chill out and don't try create issues where there aren't any to begin with.
This is stupid its like to say that they took each other idea.... the forum for modeled cars... Those color combinations layout and other stuff suits these type of forums well, I don't see any problems with that, but honestly the first time I entered smcars after they updated, the first thought that came to mind was cgcars.:/
oh and it seems that profile of j.becker was just created to start this nonsense, cause in both forums it posted only one post about this...

and just to make it clearn some one who have two families, he will never sacrifice one to live with one even if he feel like living with both in a small house .
SMCars and CG-cars has been and will always be the greatest websites for Vehicular modeling and all members as i remember from way back to 2006 and even before, were registred in both forums and they were so active in both .
all we want is a good place where to share our knowledge and we will be always thankfull for those Admins who take care of that place and offer us the place where to do that, and even meet our best friends .
and i don't see the point if they looks 1% like or 100% like cause you just don't have the same content , you don't type SMCars to find yourself on CGcars and you don't type CG-cars and find yourself in SMCars .
so please stop this kind of child discussions they are useless and have no good goal at all .
