This is something I've been working on for a bit for my new demo reel. it only took a week to get the exterior done but now I've hit a wall working on the interior and the engine. Hoping to get some feedback since this board seems to be where all the experts are at.
Hmm..sorry but this have a lot of accuracy problems..In my opinion ,you should finish first the exterior(for that you need a lot of pics so you can fix your acccuracy problems then you have time to continue with the interior..keep working..
I agree with gabi, this is hard to do without the proper blueprint and need to be checked with photo reference for accuracy. I've done this car also and still correcting it every time i see something wrong comparing from photo.
Ye that's right guys! I've noticed many accuracy problems too, but if this is only a "test model" to learn or practice with maya rigging for an animated reel it could be good. Otherwise i'll spend more time on modeling and getting it right before going too far =)
OK, I have collected a ton of photos from the web that I have used for reference but no blueprints seem to be available. Can anyone point out the accuracy problems I'm having because I've been doing everything by eye and I guess I'm just too close to it to see what they are. The model matches most of the real world measurements I've been able to find. I have an issue with the over all length of the car that I have yet to figure out, it is however the right width and height and the tires, rims and brake discs are to spec. You can't just hit me with "Hmm..sorry but this have a lot of accuracy problems" and not be more specific than that...

No more specific critique, can you please actually point out some of the accuracy problems?
Then there are some geometry problems on the back, maybe u should create more polys to define better geometry.
Closing, if u don't want critics, don't post anything, or anyway be quiet. I believe u used references, but it seems bad in some points. Not anyone as the time to tell u each point that seems out of position!
ps. Blueprints are available here, but u need to buy them.

( Aventador was presented in 2011, not 2012 anyway XD )
I do want critiques that's why I posted, but when I went to school you had to be specific with your critiques. It's only fair that if you're going to say something you be able to back it up or what's the point on both ends? Thank you for taking the time out to point out where I should be looking... now I can get back to work! And thanks for the vector drawing, I did not find it when I was looking.
Don't use that blueprint its inaccurate in proportion, 1st your front shape is wrong, i made the same mistake before, front shape is a lil pointy and round not flat like murc. See attached, Compare photos with angles from your viewport to check for accuracy's. It only looks wide bcoz of camera lens. If you really want it to be accurate you have to re-do it otherwise its ok for your demo reel.
