    Honda CRX

Hi! I'm new to this site, so I'm not sure if I'm posting on the right place. Anyway, here's my latest project - a Honda CRX tuning. I work with Google Sketchup and Bunkspeed Hypershot. C&C on this projeect are VERY welcome!

One C&C is to get another software. Sketchup isn't great for these organic kinds of shapes.

Well, for me Sketchup works very nice - it's easy to use and has low system requirements. I have Cinema 4D as well, but I haven't learned how to work with it yet. Time will show up

and yes, maybe a better program could help u getting way better result! even if i saw some really good results with sketchup too!
There's nothing better than staring at a product you modeled on a screen getting into production and coming to reality.

i think u should add more spans in door geometry, like this is way too low poly to start then adding details...i'll work also on the shift from the door to the roof...as now it's too edgy..take a look at my AE, so u can see how a "nice" ( not the best) wireframe should look like! =) looking around threads u'll find so many intersting things!!

Yup... The door is troubling me a bit. For now it'll staay like that, but soon I'll decide how to edit it(refining is one of the few hard jobs in Sketchup). Meanwhile let me show you the wheels(still have to add some more details on them)untitled.1.jpg

ow..idea! maybe u should go for a low poly game model! that will be perfect! for high res model u'll find a hard way! but is ur choice! i'll help u as much as i can!

Well, my main problem nowadays is the lack of enough time. I'm a student and have to spend a lot of time for doing my school(uni) job... One of the things that bother me personally about this honda is the rear fender. I tried to edit the mesh but still something's wrong with it When talking about the headlights, the idea is that the glasses are completely black and you can only see the bulbs(if they're turned on).

mmm,,,,the idea is good, but that's not the right way to achieve that result..i mean....u should try to set a transition on material setting itself while time pass by...but u work with sketchup...dunno if u can...i'm a student too and i understand what u'r talkin about...i come back home and get in front of my screen to work, when i finish about at 1 a.m. i start doing some modeling for half an hour XD except particular days, that's my routine =p what are u studying?

ok is a bit too complex.....cos u want a smoked glass look? (well, is something about rendering time...before let's complete the model!)
