That's not a bad start!
even a pretty good one. but, there are some problems : tripatches! (and Ngons) keep on it! |

allright...
i "repaired" the n-gons.all are 4 sided polygons out of triangles.what should i do with them ? be more more explicite please. i'm a noob and i'm asking...as long as this is my first car... |

You should try somethings by yourself, looks some wires from other modelers (better they are, better you'll be, if you know to observe)
try to smooth (meshsmooth) with a little iteration (one or two) and check your surfaces (with reflections for example). it was the way I progressed, not so far ago and i'm allways! |

here's a mesh smooth over the poly, but there are no chamfers...yet.
mesh smooth=2 iterations Last edited by petter : 25-12-06 at 03:16 PM. |

now i have another problem...
take a look at the first picture.now to the second. in the second one, you can see,on the hood, that the vertex 2 is perfectly edged after a turbo smooth modifier. now, the vertex 1 is not perfectly edged.it's a lot rounded...after a T smooth. I want to make the vertex 1(or maybe the edges) to be like vertex 2... if i'll don't do this then, there will be a gap between the headlight, hood, and grill...after a smooth modifier... the third image is just for c&c... |

Hi!
You are doing fine, I have less knowledge of this than you but regarding your problem I read in a tutorial about a Nissan Z350 to do as I try to show you in the attatched picture. Edit: I found the tutorial, made by Dias (http://www.treddi.com/upload/satan/t...nissan_030.jpg) and from his own site you can download the complete tut in pdf format: http://www.cgreality.com/tutorials.html Last edited by tooby : 28-12-06 at 09:31 PM. |

thanck's bro...i know this but i wanted to say without applying any chamfers
in the picture i posted...you can see that vertex 2 is edged and vert 1 is not, without any chamfer. i'll do as you said to see what will be the result |

To save you some time, dont bother smoothing anything till you have chamfered all the edges, cause it will never look any good until you do.
