Cobra Venom V8 concept

Hi all,

My first post on CG-Cars, my first CG 3D car model, and my second CG 3D model ever. Be kind to me!

The idea behind my concept is a modern interpretation of the AC Cobra, with a hardtop. I've been working on the model for about 6 weekends, on and off. I've got to the stage where I'm generally happy with the shape of the car, and am sorting out the little details that still need adding (wing-mirror, fuel cap, wipers, etc), and some little areas that need fixing (unwanted bumps and bulges).

Please feel free to crit or ask questions. All I ask is that you explain anything technical in laymans terms for now - I'm not so familiar with a lot of CG 3D wording, as I've only been doing it for a few months.

To start with, here are the initial concept drawings (some marker pen, some 2D Photoshopping), and a front and rear render of the model to show it's current progress.

I can show the evolution of the 3D model's design, if anyone wants.

....And here are the front and rear 3D renders. Forgot to mention, everything has been created in Cinema 4D.

Sexy? Thanks. All my own work - concept, sketches, and model.

What's the normal way of showing wires? Screen shot from the app, or a render with wires?

Ok, here are the un-smoothed front and rear wires. Please ignore the messy (normally hidden) areas such as the floor and internal part of the rear lights.

I tried to keep the mesh as simple as possible, seeing as the overall design of the car is curvaceous. This is one of the reasons I decided to model this as my first car - a challenge because of the large, smooth areas that will show up any imperfections.
