Well, I didn't mean giving away secrets in a literal sense. I'm not expecting the pros to really give much away, but some hints or tips, general descriptions on how they went about achieving a certain result and stuff like that, I do expect, and I thought that was part of the idea behind this forum section? If not, what more would it be than just a place to look at fancy renders of cars? I can do that now by visiting websites of the respective companies...

I can perfectly understand that the contributors will not explain all their methods in detail, but I hope that we can get some sort of background into the images : How detailed is the car model, what renderer do they use, do they use custom HDRIs, How much compositing, Render farm, PC setup, Time for renders, time to complete project, etc. Dave

Strict : care to elaborate ?
I think he means that when you first get here you have to decide which thread to post your wip in, with strict rules for each. Ive seen many a site fail with this seperation of class, because its easier just to go somewhere like cgtalk or smcars and post it in one big thread. No seperation of class or requirements to get into a section. And you need more traffic in the high end section ^^ thats the only reason i come here, probably only visit two times a month to check if its updated, most of the other modelers post on smc or sumthing anyways. |

I do what I do for the community. I don't profit. In fact I lose 5-10 times more money than coming. Plus what it would cost to have someone design, write, and program each article. I don't feel our relationship, if you can call it that, is not one sided. Maybe lopsided but their isn't much I can do at the moment. But if you keep in mind your link is on every single page of my website, every! So hopefully whenever I get a spike in visits I hope you get part of what I get. I hope that in the future we can work together. I am looking to become affiliates with you guys or any other cg site that would like to work together. If it upsets you that I post my cg car related news just let me know. Maybe we can work this. Its always good to talk. I mean I don't wake up in the morning thinking of pissing you off. Please reply. with your opinions. And remember, at least with me, don't automatically go negative. I'm an extremely nice person, not perfect, Too nice actually. If you want some advice on design I'd be more then happy to help you guys out. ANd I hope the redesign is successful. peace,
