before we do that someone should ask the chrysler guys for permission.
and that stuff is really heavy. the three cars with all the ref pics and so on is over 7 gigs!! so youŽll need a suitable hosting solution for that. Cheers |

fair point 211. i'll see if i can convert it myself. anyhow, i ask everyone not to perceive my statement as being a way of inciting license violations. //edit// see analysis of license below//edit//

okay, some updates people from the license agreement. i'm not a lawyer (need to finish this degree before that) so don't take my word as being true, i'm just giving this my best shot.
a) you can't even show images in a non-educational way (ie, outside of university). to me, posting here would not even be explicitly permitted. b)you do not have the right to make blueprints from these models. it's derivative work (maybe i'm the only one who thought of this but i figured it was worth mentioning) c) the sharing issue (which i admit i started) is far more complex. as far as i can tell, it's legal to a fellow student (in keeping with the educational theme) but under no other circumstance. i'm not 100% sure what that implies in legal terms for converting and sharing but here's my logic: -i only have a right to share with someone who is a student at the same institution -there's nothing that seems to prohibit me from converting it. (i figure it's legal under "derivative works" if not just straight up cool under usage) -therefore, i could only really share a hypothetically converted file with a fellow student. until someone hears back from the car company, it would probably not be prudent to post a conversion. regards, rodder
