Wink My First Car - Audi TT

Ok guys, i have tried and tried again with box modelling but for a begginer i feel its sooooo complex as there is just too much going on at once to perfect anything. So i am working panel by panel trying to perfect each bit as i go, here is the outcome so far of my audi tt.

In the last attachment there is a picture of my testing out building some headlights. I gave up when i come accross the problem where the two vertices highlighed couldnt be welded. I tried to target weld the vertices but it just wouldnt have it. I think maybe because there was all ready 4 edges linked to it? This was the same for the same two vertices all the way round my headlight if you get what i mean, am i going in the right direction for the headlight? I dont know but im using Max7 and your help will be greatly appreciated!

C&C please guys

Ok started working on the window frame/roof and i am getting this problem. If you look at my attachments i am getting a really sharp crease like edge on the top of my window frame just above where the support pillar type thing is. I have attached my viewport and can you see whats going wrong? Thanks

I am trying to keep my mesh as simple as possible. I created that pillar and where it joins there is a really really strange crease. Its really hard to show you in a single frame. When you move in the viewport you can see the way the light moves over it. But it is amazingly noticeable. Ill try and get a better render. The mesh looks fine but as soon as i apply turbosmooth this crease pops up. Really strange.

Attached the image, used a nice perlescent paint to try and outline it. And i circled it for those of you with really bad eyes

hmm... perhaps the problem of the crease is the setting of turbosmooth? is the angle to big, and therefore the edge comes out?

I understand where your coming from by reinforcing the polygons but it seems to make it worse

I have no idea why its doing it. I tried adding vertices all the way along the roof. I also tried just adding a diagonal strip coming off the window support. The wierd bit is if i remove the window support i still get the same problem so the window support and the extra vertice i had to create to add it are not the problem. Its really strange
