    Audi R8 Supercar

Tee, decided to put it in here because it's not finished anyway lol (interior)

Hi guys, this is the new Audi R8 Le Mans supercar. Been modelling it since the Paris motorshow when I fell in love with it. I took a hdri of my own a long time a go for my TT project, but never used it (memory problem) but this car is build much better and has a lower polycount. Background image was taken with the hdri near my house. The nighttime one is less photorealistic as I was going for a more dynamic look.

Work still to do is the rear diffuser texturing, complete inside, fuel filler, locks and engine bay. Will post updates as I continue.

    Enjoy the renders!
    Tom

Wow... I know it's crazy criticising something like this but isn't the front numberplate a bit too big? or is it just the perspective? Anyways... awesome work!
You won't get much closer to magic than pressing the render button.

well, what can i say except that it's simply freaking great!

tread on the tyres on the studio renders... is it bump or disp? looks like a bump, only one weak place in your renders :clown:
other stuff is just perfect :buttrock:

We still cant see the mesh quality.......Base mesh (unsubdivided) should be shown....not the subdivided one, like you have shown!

    Looks cool anyway. Good work!

dude your renders are awesome...but i think you can correct some things (see attachment )

    rear :
    - R8 text is missing
    - rear lights upper shape is not right
    - the shape around police plate is not correct either, and horizontal grills should follow...
    - exhaust trim is not correct either (less round = more flat between exhaust pipes)
    - trunk trim should be more like i've drawn

    front/side :

    - outer upper corner of the lights (in the hood) looks messy, try to add some polies there...
    - all the skirts are missing a row of polies ! you can have a bend surface with one orw of poly only !!
    - the black limit on the windshield is wrong (should be higher)
    - rear view mirrors are a bit messy too...try too look a more references...fyi, those are the audi TT ones....
    - your hood looks flat (left on the pic)

again your renders are awesome...but the mesh density is very low and you are missing lots of things with so few polies....

try to correct that while modelling the interior...and for sure you'll be in the Choice gallery !!
