Sorry, everyone...
It's been really busy lately. This render is actually over 2 months old; I had constant issues with logging on here though so I couldn't post it. Anyway, my graduate reel can be viewed on my site:
www.jayxiong.com
I'm learning new rendering techniques at the moment, so I'll make more renders sometime soon hopefully. Thanks for keepin up!
@ Jaystyle: What part of the mats need work? Reflection? Specular? Please specify... the sidewall is a texture and not modeled; and are you asking where I got the map or in which slot I placed it in my material? here's some info on my reel's contents:
Render engine: Mental Ray
Supra: average frame render--> 2min 30sec @ 1280 x 720
Glock: average frame render--> 1min 50sec @ 1280 x 720
Girl: average frame render--> 3min 50sec @ 1280 x 720 (longer times cause of the hair & SSS material)
Each project was rendered with at least 5 different passes including occlusion. Final gather turned on-- everything comped in After Effects-- not sure what else you wanna know.
Hey again "fricx" , how's it going man , your last render was fine to me , but it would be good if you did an upgrade it level more , I finished my supra you can see it here http://midoo55.deviantart.com/#/d2utin6 , it's not the best of details but i really had enogh from watching supras cars hhhhh , i will try to keep an eye on your thread too
I'm nearing the end for the rear interior panels; just a few more touch-ups to wrap it up. By the way, has anyone tried Max 2012's Nitrous real-time "REALISTIC" viewport rendering? I'm pretty blown away by it... (see last pic attached in this post).
