    Mercedes C-Class 2007

    Hi everybody

I started a new project a little while ago, it's more of a learning project for myself. That's why I took a standard edition C-Class Mercedes which you see every day (so I don't have to wait for ages to see one if I have some uncertainties about something). I know I have some problems around the doorhandles and some minor bumps in the front bumper (and lots of unknown bumps I guess ).

So...let me know what you think, point out the mistakes etc..

I fixed the problem around the front door handle, looks much cleaner without the bumps surrounding it. I will do the back door handle as well. I fixed one little problem in the front but there are some other problems I know about :-S

Well I can't say the same thing, I mean that it looks nice, maybe it does in certain parts but most of the stuff are wrong, for example detail line on the side I guess it should look same as c63 model which one I'm making and from the reference posted above, also door lines where they meet windows are too flat and where both doors meet there seem to be a corner, the same thing is with with the line where hood meets front side panel. It seems that all your detail lines are straight. Anyway front looks pretty good without any big problems just like a back, but it seem to have a bump under c350 emblem. You need to do some work with the side. Good luck.

Thank you for your comments! You mean the line I marked red? I always have trouble with the curvature of the side because it's often not clearly visible on the blueprints.
@3davt: I agree with you about the chamfer, I noticed it the minute I posted the image, will fix that asap
@Minde: You're right about the lines in the front, I'm not finished with them (I redid them and somehow didn't finish it), the one from the hood is to straight and doesn't follow the line from the fender (you can see that on the picture in this post). I will check for the bump on the back (the rear side got a bit neglected by me )

Well at least for me its seem to be still little bit too sharp, and door handle is completely different. I think they look just like in c63 so here is some good refs.

Thanks for the reference pictures!! I did not have any good pictures of the door handle, that's why i just did something which I intended to correct later. I tried to model it but I'm by no means finished, just wanted to show my progress. I must say the door handle isn't that easy The roundness to the front of the indentation in the door is still not right.

Here's the C70 (http://www.the-blueprints.com/module...o_c70_2011.jpg) and the V50 (http://www.the-blueprints.com/module...o_v50_2010.jpg) blueprints =) just previews cos they're vector and have to buy...but i believe those can help u!
Anyway..keep up that mercedes! If u have problems on replicating particular geometries u could draw meshes on photos! That will help u!
There's nothing better than staring at a product you modeled on a screen getting into production and coming to reality.

Thank you :-) I hope I find some time tomorrow to finish the door handle and then I can add the keyhole ect.

@Briex: Thanks for the blueprints, I found those myself, I'm not sure if I should buy them because they're missing the front and back view :-(

Hi there! It's looking much better but the overall shape is still a bit wrong. The original has a smoother, rounder form to it. And the top left corner of the handle should be better integrated. Anyways, nice going!
You won't get much closer to magic than pressing the render button.

I have been very busy these days so just a little update on the door handle. It's not finished yet but I think it's a start...
