Dodge Ram SLT (2003)
Hey all,
Long time reader of this site, decided to join awhile back and then got caught up in life and faded from the 3D/internet scene. But I'm back full force and can finally start to contribute back, and be a part of the community and of course, do 3d again. Okay, so recently I bought a shiny Dodge Ram SLT, fully loaded to the gills. Franky, I love it so much it's replaced my girlfriend, family and friends - it's my new love and pretty much gets 100% of my attention (yes, kinda sad)... Which is why I decided to model it in 3D. Of course, theres no blue-prints. At least not accurate or good ones of a quad-cab 2003 model that I can find. So I'm eye-balling this entire thing... Plenty of trips running outside in the freezing cold winter weather and snapping pictures of my baby (the truck) and running back in and eye-balling it more then making tweaks too the 3d model... Not exactly my ideal workflow Anyways, C&C is most welcome. FYI. I know the front bumper has a minor issue or two. But I don't care for the front bumper anyways. My intentions are scrap it once the model is done and model some body kits that are on the market for the truck. See how they look in 3D before I buy and install them on the real thing..lol! My intentions though is to make this entire model 100% dead on as possible, despite the lack of blueprints. *COUGH*..warning I got a habit of typing a lot.. *twitch* |

Hey all!
Thanks for the comments. I started working on the bed, and tweaked a lot of things through-out the cab. it's pretty much dead on accurate besides for one or two things which I've fixed after uploading these images. P2sta, I'm not sure what you would call a clay render (I figured the others were clay renders :P), but here are some without shadows or environment. Hope that's what you were looking for. rodderworld, I never even heard of 'body builder's guide'! Do you have any links to what you're talking about? Now C&C the hell out of that mesh folks! |

rodderworld, it seems that the 03 model is entirely almost nearly impossible to find references and blueprints on the internet! Good thing I own one and can take pictures during the day time or I'd be screwed!
Thanks for the link though! Will come in helpful very shortly Update! The 'main body' portion of this project is finally done. Now I can start laying down the details and such. Before doing so I need everyones eye to spot out any problems. Then I can do the bed floor and everything else. Thanks! |
