1970 ferrari 512s "coda lunga"
Hi,
This is my current project I'm doing in lightwave 3D 8.5 (home) & 9 (office). It's a high-detailed model without limits of polycount and time to work at it. The car is a 1970 sport prototype by Ferrari: the 512s in longtail version for Le Mans 24h race, in yellow Ecurie Francorchamp livery: Here you're some wip renderings. - The 5 liters v12 engine, with transmission, suspensions and disc-brakes: - The engine with the steel-aluminium chassis, and some front parts: -Then I added the front structure for the spare wheel: -Finally a detail on the engine mounted in its position: Soon more images! Ciao! Alan |

Wow - How many details! How do you get the engine references? Are you working at Ferrari?

Really good. Amazing level of detail.
I am also (still) modelling a low-poly 935 from the same period for the Le Mans circuit in rFactor. Your Ferrari would have raced them Excellent work. Looking forward to seeing this develop. Dave

Thanks!
Thanks guys!
For the references, I used a "database" of about 160 photos about the 512s/m in all versions. All photos was found on the web. About the half of them are images of scale cars models or kits, thet were very helpfull on making interior parts. Ciao! Alan
