vray matterials for car paint

hi guyz onyone please tell me how to create a realitic kooing material using vray for car body paint .thanx

www.vray-materials.de, there you can find free vray materials, they can help you and agree with rodder, search this forum

thank uou so much for replying but the thread you point out i read it but i dont got anything from it , anyone of you can please post an step by set tutorial for this , so even beginers like me can use them too , i had modelled a audi a8 and i want to render it now but i am not getting the the right materials and correct lighting setup , iam good in modeling but i am too bad in making materials and lighting , so help me out , and if some on wants the model ican give it too but please help me out in materials and lighting.

Hi vraygodlike,
Your best bet is to goto that vray.de and download some materials and study how each material is set up if you do not understand the thread

you have to be able to work from the steps posted here. if we were to tell you every little detail, you wouldn't be learning, you'd just be copying. go ahead and try stuff and post your progress, a lot of us will be glad to help you. as for vray-materials.de it's an ok way to get materials but i don't know how much you can get out of reverse engineering in this case.

Yes, I join with rodder and diablo! You should alwas remember, that one of the most important things is to know, how a studio is built up in the reality and how the car is painted in reality! For the car paint: Note, that mostly all car paints are built up like it's in the vrayblendmtl thread: First a basic colour, than the highlights or metallic flakes and then the clear-reflectivity. And for the studio setup, look at some images where you can see the whole studio - note where the lights are standing and which planes are self-illuminating, and what background they mostly use and so on...
