BMW Australia TV-Spots - FACTS Client: BMW Australia Vehicles: BMW 3er Series (e90/e91/e92/e93) Format: 2048 x 1152 Length: 3 spots “think 3” – 15 sec. each Tools: RTT DeltaGen, Maya, MentalRay (x64), Fusion Animation prod. Time: 1 ½ weeks (incl. rigging, layout, animation) hardware: 64 bit workstations (dual dual-core Xeon, 8 GB RAM, FX 4500) Lighting prod. time: 4 weeks (incl. shading, lighting, rendering) renderfarm: rendered on 92 nodes (20 dual quad core, 8 GB RAM; 72 dual core, 6 GB RAM - all 64bit) rendering: average rendertime per frame: 12 min. in 2048 x 1152 passes: mblur done with rendered vector maps and RSMB; Footage:

Nice job guys, tho i doubt it will be mistaken for real...because that would be some seriously tough to master shots if you´d try to shoot it for real :P

clarification: i only meant the stills at the top, if broadcast, would fool most people i know. the car coming together would probably be somewhat suspect. anyhow, top work. i was on the rtt site trying to understand deltagen but i still don't get it... however it works, you guys kick a**
