Sorry guys, I have been on a bloody long break from sketching and 3d modelling as I had been training rather intensely since the start of the year for a team trampoline competition in April.. Now that it has passed (I was reserved and the team won silver ) and the I am already into the second week of the June holidays, I think I will have more time for sketching and all that. Somehow I tend to improve a little after a long break from drawing And here's a little concept drawn as I was listening to some Maroon 5 songs
Seat Crouch Hatchback Concept.. I don't dare to do shadings to the car though... Am very scared of ruining it with messy patches of ink :/ |

Yeah I guess so, the rear wheel looks like it's sliding out from the bottom

Hi everyone, I'm back after having ditched this thread for 4 months I've actually been drawing on a very irregular basis.. Most of the times I felt too lazy and tired to think of any decent concept to draw but I think those are still excuses
So here's a sudden update.. Yesterday while I was too tired to continue studying I just got hold of a fresh piece of paper and started sketching.. Wasted some time doodling around and then tried to focus on a particular type of car to sketch, and so here's a random concept which has a lambo-like front with some editing done in photoshop |

Haven't been posting much nowadays, just reading through threads once in a while and observing in the dark the happenings of the forum...
Again, it has been a long time since I updated. I've been reading some books on drawing cars and rendering them (borrowed from local public libraries) and also going through some online tutorials. Nowdays I will always do a rough sketch using a B pencil before trying to complete the sketch using a 4B pencil or ballpoint pen. I guess I still need a lot more practise because I don't get the perspectives right at all times, especially for perspectives which are new to me. Anyway here are 2 sketches. For the first one I just tried to mimick the Civic Type R (FD2) for fun, though the perspective which I am still not very used to gave me some pespective problems. The headlights look too squarish I think, but I hate to touch the eraser so I will just leave it as it is. The second one is another random sketch, now of a Mustang. By the time I realised that the front bumper wasn't symmetrical, it was already too late and no corrections could be done since I used a pen for the sketch. Sorry for the long post |

nice I like them, only on the first the hood has imo a bit wrong perspective

P2sta: thanks for pointing that out, it does look weird somehow..
Anyway, here's another update. The first one is a colour pencil sketch of a random concept with a weird rear design. I don't know what was going through my brain when I drew it, but I guess the perspective and proportions were quite ok. The second one is a sketch done first with a B pencil for the planning, and then a ballpoint pen for the final one. The wheels sure look weird and the area above the front right wheel looks awkwardly wrong... I still have problems finding corrective perspectives of the wheels, especially when trying out new perspectives. Of course, both of them have been processed in photoshop after being scanned onto the computer. |
